About
Who is Slater?
Minister Slater Joel Johnson is a Hampton Roads native called to lead worship and build the local church. Known nationally and internationally as a Christian recording artist, he has toured Europe with Michael M. Smith and shared programs with leading gospel artists. He featured on Bishop Kim Brown Presents Earl Bynum and The Mount Unity Choir, winners of the 2014 Stellar Award for Contemporary Choir of the Year. Slater serves worship & arts ministries across Hampton Roads. He and his wife, Shaunica, have four children.
